Here is a very beautiful large original abstract Cubist oil painting. Painted on stretched canvas measuring 24" X 36". Signed on the upper right corner "Ortega". It appears to be very old, we are guessing 1930's - 1940's. There are many artists listed with this last name (many of which are Spanish) so we were unable to pinpoint the specific artist. It is very apparent the it was painted by a seasoned and refined artist. The style and content is absolutely amazing. The finish is somewhat dry which leads me to believe that it either does not have a varnish or perhaps that it was painted using something like gouache. Truly a remarkable and rare find. VERY, VERY BEAUTIFUL!!!
