CHARLES LENNOX II WRIGHT (1876-1966)
"With studios in Manhattan and Bayside, New York, Charles Lennox Wright II was born in Boston as the son of Charles Lennox
Wright (1852-1901). He was a landscape painter, and his locations included Monhegan Island in Maine, Shinnecock Hills in New
York, and other beaches along Long Island. At Shinnecock, he studied with William Merritt Chase at his summer school. Wright
also painted many portraits of his family members and was an illustrator of movie posters for RKO.
